Free Gowns Now: Thanks to Project Cinderella

Sarah Bartlett did a pretty good thing a few days back. Though she is not playing the role of Maria in the “West Side Story” musical, but she made everyone proud by singing one of Maria’s songs. Not only that, she wore a lilac prom gown at the Mechanicsburg Area Middle School earlier this month.

Bartlett is studying as a junior at the Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School and according to her, she just loved to wear the gown and felt wonderful about herself. She did feel that she looked pretty in the lilac dress. It was all a part of the Project Cinderella and she and her friends tried out various prom dresses for it.

According to the project, the girls will be receiving free prom dresses for their high school prom which was scheduled on April 14. The project was sponsored by Rebecca Dubas and Ellen Sherman who are senior of the High School. The project gives the girls a choice of 250 dresses and they also include several accessories like purses, wraps and shoes. The sizes are between 2 to 20. Dubas said that one of the main reasons behind the operation of the project was the reduction the costs while going to the prom.

After all, each girl has to feel happy after wearing the gowns because proms are special events for every student. Its something that they look forward to. Bartlett and her mother went through a series of gowns, some were strapless and some were sleeveless.

Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards and its Red Carpet

So the Academy of Country music awards ended with a big bang. This year was termed as a big success as compared to the previous ones. The winners took home the prestigious country music award that has been shining the light on the charm and immortality of country music for the last 46 years.

Miranda Lambert and Taylor Swift were the stars of the much coveted event. But what was more noticeable apart from the rip roaring awards, one thing that was really noticeable was the Red carpet gowns and dresses before the event. It was great to see an array of celebs dressed to kill for sure.

Nicole kidman led the way with her dazzling LWren Scott dress, which really stole the show.

Carrie Underwood was looking dapper in a great Jean Fares Couture attire which just looked amazing.
